The Back Lane Christmas Market, Ballybofey
Sunday 15th and Sunday 22nd November 2026
Before the Christmas parties begin, the festive season in Ballybofey starts with the Back Lane Christmas Market. Returning for another year, the market brings together local crafters and artists, food and coffee stalls, street performers and choir music drifting down the lane. It is Ballybofey at its most festive, and it is free for everyone to enjoy.
Sunday 15th November: The highlight of the market calendar, with the town’s Christmas lights switch-on and the McElhinneys Christmas Window Reveal both taking place on the day. Expect the whole town to come out and celebrate.
Sunday 22nd November: The market returns for a second weekend, with the same wonderful stalls and festive atmosphere, and another chance to get ahead with your Christmas shopping with gifts from local makers.
