Stay & Spend
We are delighted to be participating in the government's Stay & Spend Scheme. This new initiative will incentivise taxpayers to support tourism accommodation and food service providers during the off-peak season.
How it Works
This scheme allows Irish taxpayers to claim a tax credit against hotel accommodation, hotel or restaurant food and non-alcoholic drinks purchased between October 1st and April 30th.
Under the scheme, customers are entitled to a tax credit equal to 20% of their hotel and/or restaurant bill. Customers must spend a minimum of €25 in a single transaction with a maximum total spend of €625 per individual or €1250 per couple. The €625 can come from a single transaction or multiple transactions.
Tax Credits
A Spend of €100 will earn a tax credit of €20, a spend of €250 will earn a tax credit of €50, a spend of €500 will earn a tax credit of €100 and a spend of €625 will earn the maximum available tax credit of €125. Customers have from October 1st - April 30th to reach the maximum spend of €625.
This can be from one stay equalling €625 or multiple hotel and restaurant stays totaling €625. The spend doesn't have to exclusively be used on a staycation, the spend can be made in your local participating hotel or restaurant.
How to Book
Book a hotel break or book a meal and claim back the accommodation and food portion of your bill. Remember, you don't have to be on a staycation to avail of this initiative, simply spend a minimum of €25 in one transaction on food in our bar or restaurant. Don't forget to keep your receipts and upload using the revenue receipts tracker or post to revenue.
