Balor Theatre

Jackson’s hotel is a short stroll away from The Balor Theatre which is situated on the Main Street. The Theatre is Donegal’s oldest theatrical venue and offers a traditional intimate theatre experience. The Balor has a great reputation for hosting top quality drama, music and comedy shows.

Donegal Museum

Originally opened in 1845 and based in a fine old stone building, the Donegal Museum is considered one one of the best in the county. The Museum houses a fantastic range of artefacts showcasing life in Donegal from the Stone Age to the 20th Century.
A range of travelling exhibitions are also located on the ground floor of the gallery through out the year and the content of these exhibitions vary widely.
On the first floor you will find a Children's Activity Trail which keep the little one entertained as they explore.
You can view the North West Film Archive at this museum, this archive is a digital collection of footage relating to Derry and Donegal and be accessed free of charge.
